Our Partners and Founders

The project is led by Professor Etienne de Rocquigny and Augustin Destremau, serial entrepreneurs & co-founders of the initiative.

"The Church offers everyone the treasure of her social teaching in response to another industrial revolution and to the developments in the field of AI that pose new challenges for the defense of human dignity, justice, and labor."- Pope Leo XIV, May 10th, 2025
Why this initiative?
The Rerum Novairum initiative was born from the urgency to fill this void by mobilizing Christian entrepreneurs and leaders from around the world.
Pope Leo XIV called for a new vision, rooted in the social doctrine of the Church, to guide the development of AI.
Our Pillars
Common Good: Directing AI towards solutions that benefit all of society, especially the most vulnerable.
Solidarity & Subsidiarity: Promoting an AI that strengthens communities and supports the autonomy of individuals and groups.
Just Work: Shaping a future where technology enhances human capabilities and supports dignified work.
